How does pricing work?
Two ways to pay, both work forever. Free starts you with 75 credits — buy more in $4.99 / $19.99 / $49.99 packs anytime, no subscription needed. Subscribe is $24.99/month and gets you 600 fresh credits monthly at the best per-build price. Either way, chatting with Gladys, web search, and reading your existing apps are always free.
What is a credit?
Credits are how you pay for the heavy stuff — building apps, generating images, video. Roughly: a generated image is around 9 credits, an HD image about 39, a second of video around 51. A typical app build runs anywhere from 15 to a few hundred credits depending on how polished you want it. Gladys always shows you the price before a build runs, so there's no surprise.
What happens if I run out of credits?
Chatting, memory, web search, and your existing apps still work. Building new things and generating images/video pause until you buy a credit pack or, if you're subscribed, your monthly refresh arrives. We never auto-charge you for a top-up.
Do unused credits roll over?
If you Subscribe, your monthly credits last an extra month before they expire. Credits you buy in packs never expire.
What are Quick, Standard, and Deep builds?
Three speeds you pick per build. Quick is fast and cheap — great for tweaks and tiny apps. Standard is the usual — solid working apps with real polish. Deep takes longer and costs more, but it's for when the build really has to land. Gladys always shows you the price before running.
Can I switch between Free and Subscribe?
Anytime. You never lose your memory, your characters, or your saved apps when you switch. Subscribe at the moment you want the better deal; unsubscribe whenever — your stuff stays.
How does the character actually remember me?
Every conversation auto-generates a summary. Preferences and facts about you get saved to a private, on-device memory store. The character weaves those back into future conversations naturally — like a friend would, not like a database would.
Does my data leave my device?
Your memories stay on your device. AI model calls go through our managed inference proxy for the characters who need it, but your memory store is local. We never sell, share, or train on your data.
Can I use this offline?
Chat history, video decomposition, memory retrieval, and a lot of the interface work offline. Text generation and media creation need network. We're moving more on-device every month.
How do I cancel?
From the app (Settings → Account → Manage Subscription), or from your Apple ID account settings (iOS) or your account page on the web. Cancel anytime, no phone calls, no cancellation flows designed to waste your time. Cancel at least 24 hours before the end of your current billing period to avoid the next charge.
How do I delete my account?
From the app: Settings → Account → Delete Account. This permanently removes your profile, chat history, memories, and any data we've stored about you from our systems within 7 days. If you'd rather email us, send a deletion request from your account email address to hello@heygladys.com and we'll take care of it within 7 days.
What happens to my memories if I cancel?
They stay on your device. If you come back, your characters pick up where you left off. If you delete the app, you can clear them from Settings → Data & Storage first.
Can I switch between characters?
Yes. Anytime. They all share the same memory store of you, so switching doesn't lose anything — it just changes the personality you're talking to.
